The Grand Mesa Jeep Club, located out of Grand Junction, was incorporated as a club in 1962. Since its beginning, the club has grown to as many as 65 families and decreases to as few as five. Presently there are 31 family members.

While the main purpose of the club is to enjoy wheeling and the outdoors, we are actively involved in keeping our public lands open and accessible to 4x4's. In 1991 the GJMC was successful, along with eight other OHV groups, in appealing a decision concerning the Grand Mesa National Forest.

We hold business meetings the first Monday of every month, and a Jeep trip the third Saturday of every month. Some members get together on weekends and make a spontaneous trip to the many areas that surround us, such as the Grand Mesa, the San Juan Mountains, the Uncompahgre National Forest, or Moab, Utah.

We are always happy to host guests at our meetings and outings. If you're in the area and would like to partake in the fun, contact us.
