The Hillbillies 4x4 Club, founded in 1986, is an active diverse group of about 16 units. Our membership includes children and grandchildren, singles and couples of all ages. We provide family orientated activities including moderate to difficult four wheeling with the occasional challenging trail, camping, a Christmas party, and other fun times.

Our club meets the second Tuesday of every month in the Northwest metro area. We welcome all types of 4x4 vehicles. Members schedule a trip and/or social event at least once per month. Annual events include a trip to the Moab, Utah area in the spring and a long weekend High Country Adventure in late summer.

We undertook and built a successful vehicle for the State Association’s annual Raffle Vehicle fund raising event. Many of our members are regular volunteers at the State Association’s booth during the yearly Sport, Boat and Travel Show.

Our member continue to be involved in the Forest Service Adopt-A-Road program and currently have agreements for both the Eldora-Caribou Flats to the Rainbow Lakes area road (County 128J and FDR505), and the Kingston Peak Road (FDR353). We perform general trail maintenance, build fencing, campground facilities, install signage and provide trail use information handouts, i.e. Stay Teh Trail, during meet-n-greet outings. in the past we have built fencing and compground facilities funded by OHV grants.

Our members work hard to promote responsible four wheeling, fun social and recreational opportunities, and lasting friendships.
